The Ashland Figure Skating Team is a competitive artistic roller skating club that has been in existence since 1986.  We also have a pre-competitive club.  Listed below are some of the highlights of the Artistic Club.

    Skaters are trained in the artistic disciplines of Figures, Loops, Dance, Freestyle, and Creative Solo Dance. With the arrival of the new artistic inline skate, our skaters are also trained in Inline Freestyle and Inline Solo Creative Dance.  The Ashland Figure Skating Team travels to Local, Regional, and National championships each year.

    The focus of the competitive program at Ashland Skateland is on developing and experiencing those competitive skills that will benefit the skater later in life.

    The Artistic Club of Ashland is a dedicated group of young people who learn every day the value of courage, strength (internal and external), perseverance, and pride.

    These skaters work very hard and attend practice sessions almost daily, while maintaining their grades and other extracurricular activities such as gymnastics, dance, and swimming.  These skater's also develop a love of exercise and a feeling of physical well being. In the process of this development, these young people will travel, win medals, and have a great time developing friendships and teamwork.
